PHYLLIS PETERSON
AMDRAS Accredited Mediator, Lawyer
Since becoming a nationally accredited mediator in 2017, Phyllis has focused on delivering tailored mediation and support services to help organisations and employees identify and address workplace issues early—aiming to prevent escalation wherever possible.
She has particular expertise in mediating interpersonal conflicts in the workplace, especially during return-to-work processes following complaints, investigations, or workers compensation claims.
Recognising the personal and financial toll workplace disputes can have on organisations, individuals, and their families, Phyllis has expanded services to include conducting conversations on behalf of employers—particularly those that may be sensitive, complex, or better managed by a third party.
With decades of experience in negotiation and dispute resolution, Phyllis has acted in matters before the Local, District, and Supreme Courts of NSW, the Federal Circuit Court, and Fair Work Australia. As a lawyer, she has represented a diverse range of clients including both employers and employees. Phyllis is a member of the Resolution Institute and the Australian Human Resources Institute.
